MR. DAVE PEUNT,
There is an entertainment in our area that is not
. mentioned much. It's Bingo. More than anyone our
senior citizens enjoy this game. Many of them would
have nothing to look forward to unless they could go
to Bingo.
Granted there are some, two in particular, one in
Eugene and one in Springfield, that have a lot to be
desired, but there is one that definitely deserves
recognition. Paramount Bingo in Springfield has
got to be the finest. The people are great, the atmo-
sphere is friendly, the game is run fair. But, most
of all, they have a senior day. They treat these people
wonderfully. They serve them sandwiches, coffee, donuts,
give them 8 cards to play, pay $10.00 per game for
20 games. This is entirely at no cost to the seniors.
My mother is 70 years old and looks so forward to
going.
Yesterday the 27th of March, in the rain and sleet,
there were 400 seniors there to play.
Because of some parking problem or ? that may have
been the, last senior day. I think this is a crime.
Our older people deserve this entertainment. Something
should be done to help Paramount Bingo. Not only the
seniors enjoy playing there, but also many more of us.
