CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO. 09-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD ADOPTING THE CITY OF
SPRINGFIELD STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, The Springfield Stormwater Management Plan (Plan) has been developed to provide policy
and management guidance for activities affecting stormwater ; and
WHEREAS, Adaptive management for assessing and implementing new opportunities for improving
program effectiveness establishing policy forstormwater management is a condition of that Plan; and
WHEREAS, Public testimony and concerns regarding policy for stormwater discharges beyond the Urban
Growth Boundary was received; and
WHEREAS, Addendum 1 to the Plan addressing policy for stormwater discharges beyond the Urban
Growth Boundary has been prepared, and reviewed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, A MUNICIPAL
Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows:
1. The Springfield Stormwater Management Plan updated by the City of Springfield Public Works
Department, dated November, 2008, and amended by Addendum 1, is hereby adopted to
provide policy and management guidance for the City's stormwater management programs and
activities within the Springfield metropolitan area.
2. This resolution shall take effect upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield the 21th day of September, 2009, by a vote of
