'!he City of Springfield welccmes your new business. I would like to take a
rranent of your time to inform you of sane of the requirarents the .City of
Springfield has with regard to building and zooing.
1. 9lould you decide to install a sign(s) advertising your business, the
City of Springfield requires you obtain pennits. pennit fees are based
upon the value of the sign(s) you .propose to install. '!he City also has
Sign Regulations regarding the number and size of signs you can have.
Please contact Sally Jd1nson for further infonnation regarding signs.
2. '!he Building safety Division can perform an Oxupancy In,>",,~~on of your
building. '!his inspection is not required, however, is encouraged as the
inspectors will insure your structural, plurrbing, electrical and
mechanical systems meet the minimum requirements f= your. ...~~'^"ed use.
'!here is a .$35.00 in,,>=~~on fee.

Should you decide to make any structural, plunbing,
mechanical alterations or additions to the building,

4. '!he Springfield Developnent. .Cbde, Article. 18, Section 18.110 (7)
requires that "'!he activities of auction businesses, flea markets,
liquidatioo outlets, second-hand stores and pawn shop; shall occur
entirely indoors,...". '!his requirerrent applies to your business and
prohibits any outside display = storage of merchandise. Your anticipated
=npliance with this code provision is appreciated.
