It Is the responsibility of the permit holder to see that all inspections are made at the proper time. To request an inspection, call
726-3769 (recorder), state your City designated job number, job address, type of inspection requested and when you will be ready
for Inspection. Requests received before 7;00 a.m. will be made the same working day, requests made after 7:00 a.m. will be made
the following work day.

SITE PLAN REVIEW BOARD: Must be requested 2 days in advance
of the date you wish inspection. All project conditions such as
landscaping, parking lot striping, etc. must be completed before
requesting this Inspection.
FINAL ELECTRICAL
FINAL BUILDING: Requested after the final plumbing, electrical,
mechanical and Fire Department inspections are made and
approved. No occupancy of the premises can be made until a
Certificate of Occupancy has been issued by the Building Division
and posted on the premises.

Application of Base Ply'
Apply PERMA PLY base ply with 2 inch side laps and 3 inch end
laps. Mechanically secure 9 inches a.c. at side laps and 18 inches
a.c'-on two Iiries 12 inches from each edge (staggered). Mechanical
securement shall be accomplished using mechanical fasteners
recommended by the deck manufacturer. Large-Head Simplex naits
(minimum 15/16 inch head diameter), the Berryfasl Tapefast system or
the Bostitch Disc.A.Matic system may be used on wood decks only.
Application of Plies
Embed two plies of PERMA PLY in shingle fashion (starter sheets
required). lapping 19 inches into uniform solid moppings of hot asphalt.
using a nominal 25 Ib/l00 ft2 per ply. Plies may be left exposed up to
six months without surfacing.
Application of Mineral Surface
Embed 12.ft. lengths of PERMA CAP (18-ft. in Area III) with 2 inch
side and end laps into a uniform solid mopping of hot asphalt. using a
nominal 25 Ib/1OQ ft2. PERMA CAP side laps shall be at least 8 inches
from PERMA PLY side laps. PERMA CAP end laps shall be staggered
3 h.
I JJ.NC is recommended over lightweight concrete in the fallowing states: Texas.
Georgia. South Carolina. Alabama. Louisiana. Mississippi, Florida, California
Area III and Arizona Area tlI.
1 Jl.NC is not recommended far application over lightweight concrete.
J Base Ply - may be specified Perma Ply No. 28. Perma Ply.IV or Perma Ply-R.

General
Note
All general instructions contained i~ the General Requirements
section shall be considered part of this specification.
Drainage
Roof decks must be graded to drain alt water freely. Drains shall be
sufficient in number and size to assure rapid elimination of water from
the roof surface.
Nailing
Ply fells must be back nailed on inclines exceeding 2 inches per foot.
On slopes between 2 inches and 3 inches per foot, back nailing shall
not exceed 8 foot on center. On Slopes greater than 3 inches per foot.
back naiting shall not exceed 48 inches on center. Felts are to run
parallel to the incline and must be secured 18" in from the back edge
of the felt. Each nail mllst be covered by succeeding plies. High
temperature areas may require nailing on lower slopes.
