II. Abbreviated Plumbing, Mechanical, &. Electrical Schedules
A. Except where blank spaces occur in the description
portion of the Mechanical and Electrical Schedules,
the applicant need fill-in only the No. Boxes adjacent
to the appropriate item(s) to be installed
B. Full Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Schedules
are available at the Building Division
1. To conserve space on the penmit fonm the schedules
have been abbreviated
2. If the item(s) to be installed are not covered on
the abbreviated schedules you should consult the
full schedules
C. BUILDING DIVISION STAFF WILL FILL OUT ALL FEES AND
CHARGES ON THE SCHEDULES
D. As noted on the CAP, the label must be delivered to the
electrical contractor for signature by his electrical
supervisor. The general contractor is ,not authorized
to sign the electrical label. ---
III. Applicant to sign and date
Whenever possible, the initial application will be used as
a worksheet only. Where possible, Building Division Staff
will prepare a type written copy and return it to the
applicant at the time the actual penmit is issued for his
signature.
IV. Fees and Charges
Plan check fees are due and payable at the time of the
app 1 i ca ti on, 'and no plans wi 11 be processed unt il these
fees are paid. All other fees and charges are due and
payable when the penmit is issued.

I h<lve made an inspection or this bui Iding after the debris of the colliipsed
canopy h;ld been removed. You advised that the intended reconstruction of tll(:
wall above the window and door I intel would be with wood frame construction
connected to the exi5ting construction. Based 011 my observations, 1 Inilke the
fol lowing recommendations for the recoll5truclioll of the bui Idillg front or south
wall tlhove the show wihdows illld entry doors:

2. A portion of the concrete block w;lI I above the I inlel and a portioll
which is broken off at the southeast corner, should be removed.

remains, the last cell ill the concrete block should be sol iel grouted
with aile //4 reinforcing bar illserted into the cells vertically.
4. A prcscl"vat ive treated 2x6 si I I plate call be boiled to the top of the

plate should be att<lchcd to the COliC rete lintel with 1/2"x7" drilled
expansi.on bolts at 4' maxilllum spacing and olle at 12" from the east and
west ends.

roof rilftcrs at the south wall should be sheathed with 1/2" plywood.
Vertical studs can he placed at plywood joints and at the origin.11

framing. Attachment can be with Simpsom A-34 or A-35 connectors. The
,new wood fr;Jme wall should extend to the origin~lI height of the
roofing cbping and around the corners where the concrete block is
removed. Vertical framing should he ;Jttachcd to the COliC rete block ill
the southeast and southwest corners with at least two 1/2"x7" dd lied
expilnsion bolts into the solid grouted cells.
7. A suitable siding with flashing and other joint details can be in-
stalled over the face of the wall and lapped with the roofing and a
coping flashing over the top of the wall which call also lap outo tll(!
concrete block wall coping to provide ,,1 weatherproof wall alld joints
with the concrete block and roofing. The roofing Cilll he repaired.
