RE: Inspection performed at 1747 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon.
Mr. Yu,
Inspections performed on June 19, 1996, by Tom Marx and Dave Gadomski revcalcd that
units 1,3,31,32, I 0, 18 and the managers quartcrs, contained garages that havc been
convertcd to bedroom usc without the required permits or inspection approvals,
Since the bedrooms do not mect fire egress standards or have adequate smokc detectors,
we must require that the bedrooms be vacated, or the correct egress windows and smoke
detectors installed immediately, You will need to submit plans for the garage
conversions and obtain the required permits and inspection approvals.
Please cOntact me at 726-3666 in regards to a timeline for submitting plans and
construction completion, I apprcciate your cooperation in resolving this matter.
