Dear Ms. Blaquiere,
The Springfield Planning Department has receivro several canplaints about the
ut-=-Qtion of Station One dance hall since the extension of your Conditional
'Use Pennit on June 6th. It is the policy of our office to notify applicants
of such canplaints and resolve the issues administratively. The problan will
be referrro to the Planning Carrnission in those situations where our involvo"",",,;"
is ineffective.
The a:anplaints raised against your operation involve your obligation to fulfill
the con:iitions of your CUP. American Security Guards, Inc., fonnerly errployro
by you to satisfy the several CUP requiranents concerning' security arrang6!lel1ts,
allege that: (1) little or no security cu=ently exists (American Security
having been let go), (2) patronsoome and go as they please and are frequently
in "an impairro con:iition" after returning to Station One; and (3) errployees
of Station One have also been observro to be in an "impairro condition". Additional
canplaints include: (4) vehicles are parkro in the alley that leads to 3Bth Street,
thereby preventing ='~':12I1cy vehicle access; and (5) hours of operation have
exceeded 12:00 midnight on m::>re than one occasion. These activities are a violation
of requL.="c"ts of your Conditional Use Pennit.
We 1t.Ould appreciate discussing these itans with you so that we might be able to
resolve these issues to everyone's satisfaction. These allegations are quite '
serious and 1t.Ould warrant an additional Planning Ccr.rni.ssion review if not rectifiro
as soon as possible.
