Dear Manager:
Your property at 3667 Main St. is in violation of the Springfield City Code
and/or Ordinances. Rather than issuing a citation or taking immediate legal
action, it is the City's standard practice to inform citizens of the violation-
and request that it be corrected within a reasonable time.
The attached form specifies the violation, the corrections necessary in order to
comply with the applicable Code/Ordinance and the date by which your corrective
action must be completed.
The City appreciates your anticipated courtesy and cooperation. If you have any
questions regarding this letter, the violation or the required correction, please
contact the Springfield Planning and Development Department (726-3753).
In the event that you have not taken corrective action by . October 1, 1986,
this matter will be referred to the City Attorney's Office for further action.

SPECIFIC VIOLATION:

REQUIRED CORRECTION: The improper storage and disposal of household
waste creates a potential public health hazard. Household garbage must be
stored in a covered container and removed once a 'week in order to eliminate
conditions attractive to rats, and to prevent offensive odors and unsightly
conditions. An open trailer is not an acceptable storage container for
household garbage.
DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE: Seven (7) days from the date of this letter or
October 1, 1986.
