SUBJECT: Improvements to 3455 and 3485 Main Street

Dear Mr. Jenkinson,

Your proposal to pave the above mentioned properties fiill sinto the
category of a Type 1 Site Plan. Because no new building construction is
involved, the information required for Site Plan submittal involves only
those items that have been highlighted on the enclosed application form.
For purposes of clarity, please use a scale of I" = 20'.
The Planting Plan (specs attache'd) referred to on the second page of the
check list involves a five foot strip adjacent to your property line
wherever ,it abuts public right-of-way or residentially zoned property.
JUdging from the sketch you submitted, this would include the frontage of
3455 Main Street (approximately 75'), the frontage of tha~ portion of 3485
Main Street that will be paved (approximately 45' on Main and 25' on South
35th Streets), and the southern property lines of both these lots. All
approved driveways and the existing parcel at 3477 Main Street will be
exempt from the planting requirement.
The landscaped areas must be provided with a permanent irrigation system
unless the individual who prepares your planting plan can verify that 90%
of the planted materials will survive for at least five years without an
irrigation system.
If, for reasons beyond your control, you cannot install this landscaping
prior to occupancy of the newly paved areas, you may submit a performance
bond for the estimated cost of these improvements in lieu of their
immediate installation.
