Re: Response to Plan Review Correction List, KapKo Warehouse Addition
Mr, Neel:
The following items correspond with the plan review list supplied to you
July 8, 198b, and which you subsequently responded to in a letter we
received July 30, 1986.

Item 2b- The proposal to retrofit the existing warehouse west wall is
not acceptable because no attachment of the gypsum sheathing
to the studs is intended. We cannot conclude that such wall
assembly is equ1valent in performance to recognized and tested
assemblies with which we are familiar.
Item 2d- The allowable area if the warehouse building is provided with
an approved fire sprinkler system in the future is 72,000 sq.
feet, and not 96,000 as you had calculated.
Item 5-
The loading sides of loading docks .are not required to be
provided with guardrails, however, due to the configuration of
the proposed dock which.will be open on two sid~s we request
that the floor immediately adjacent to the open sides of the
dock be provided with a highly contrasting color painted line
or cross-hatch pattern to alert people to the edge of the
floor surface and the loading dock.
I understand that the drainage system design has not yet been
.determined due to a lack of reliable information relative to
the existing storm drainage system. Please provide our office
with an accurate as-built drawing of the system for our records
after the field investigation is completed and the system design
determined.
