A1: your request, the Springfield Building Safety Division conducted an
inspection of the building(s) at the above address. The purpose of the
inspection was to determine the suitability of the building(s) for the
I=,roposed use as indicated.
5ased c,n the proposed occupancy, the existing conditions which are
,men1:ioned below do not meet the minimum Building Safety Code requirements.
Cc,rrective measures must be taken prior t.o occupancy to install, repair,
re~,lac.e c,r modify the following items in' order for the building to conform
t.o applicable safety codes:
Structural
1. Provide one 2-A, lOBe rated fire extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of
flocI' area. The ma>:imllm distance to an extinguisher from any location in
the building shall not exceed 75 fee1:. Install extinguishers in a plainly
visible and accessible location with the top of the extinguisher between 3
to 5 feet above floor level. Coordinate placement requirements with the
City Fire Marshal's office.
