Attached is a revised sheet L2,2 showing the as-built planting noted in Item #2, I will send you a hard copy
tomorrow. Note that we've added more plants at the south.end of Platform, probably after your visit. This was
a late change made to improve the existing condition in that area,
For Item #3, as we discussed on the phone, this particular species was not available in the 5 gallon size, but 2-3
gallon size plants were transplanted to 5 gallon containers in the winter to allow their root balls to expand,
These will eventually fill out the beds, but we've identified 5 plants that were very sparse and located in
prominent locations, and are having these replaced with more robust specimens, For Item #4, we're not sure
what happened here, but the missing plant is being replaced,

2. During the Final Site Inspection, staff observed that the contractor's site plans contain a landscaping addendum
for the transit platform that differs from the approved Final Site Plan on file with the City, At least two of the
areas depicted as landscaping on the approved Final Site Plan have been removed and replaced with concrete
walking surfaces (see example in attached picture "as-built changes to station landscaping,jpg"), Because of the
discrepancy, the as-built landscaping plan for the transit platform must be provided to the City for the project
file,
3, During the Final Site Inspection, staff observed that some of the plant materials installed along the covered
pedestrian walkway were in poor condition and do not qualify as 5-gallon shrubs as described in the planting
schedule on Sheet L2,2, Accordingly, these plants do not meet the landscaping requirements of the approved
Final Site Plan. Staff advise that removal and replacement with appropriate nursery stock of the same variety is
required, Pictures of some of the subject shrubs have been attached for your review ("plant materials 1-4,jpg"),
4, During the Final Site Inspection, staff observed that one or more shrubs appear to have been removed from a
parking lot island near the mall entrance, A picture of the subject area is attached for reference ("plant material
missing,jpg"). There is evidence ofrecent activity in the landscaping island, including footprints and disturbed
ground. It is possible that plant material was removed due to mortality, or even theft, In any event, replacement
of the missing plant material( s) with appropriate shrubs will be required,
The items noted in #2-4 above do not require a follow-up inspection unless specifically requested by the
applicant. However, please advise Planning when the necessary steps have been taken to address these items,
