Robert: I tried to contact Amy Chinitz at SUB Water Quality Protection earlier this afternoon, but didn't receive a
response.
The Drinking Water Protection (DWP) permit for the Walgreens tenant infill can be issued upon receipt of the review
comments from SUB Water Quality Protection. There are typically some conditions attached. to the decision that must
be addressed, including possible revisions to the Hazardous Materials Management Plan and completion of final
inspections by SUB and the Fire Marshal. Therefore, even under the most optimistic scenario, it is unlikely this issue can
be satisfactorily resolved by the end of the business day tomorrow in order to facilitate a Wednesday opening. Staff will
issue the DWP decision at the earliest opportunity, but are not obliged to meet the contractor's arbitrary deadline for
opening (June 3). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks
Andy
