Dear Sirs:
It has come to our attention that a change of business occupancy has occurred
at the service station located on the southwest corner of 42nd and Main Streets,
Springfield, Oregon. Oregon State law requires that a building must be inspected
by the local Building Division when its use is changed in order to determine if
the building is suitable to house such a change. Applications may be obtained
at the Springfield Department of Public Works, 346 Main Street.
Furthermore, in'order for you to operate a car wash in a C-4 (Service Commercial
Wholesale District) zone, it will also be necessary to apply to the Springfield
Planning Commission for a Conditional Use Permit as specified in Section 17.03 of
the Springfield Comprehensive Z9ning Code. A copy of the application form is
enclosed. The application form must be submitted no later than February 7, 1979 to'
the Springfield Planning, Department at 126 North 4th Street. You should apply for
the occupancy inspection application prior to the February 7, 1979 deadline, so
the Building Division may make recommendation to the Planning Commission regarding
the proposed use of the building.
