All doors in one-hour fire wall (separating the shop from the retail sales room) shall be provided with a self-closing device. Fire and Life Safety Code 4306(b). 2. A sign shall be permanently displayed on each fire door separating the shop from the retail sales room. The letters for the sign shall be not less than one inch high, to read as follows: "FIRE DOOR DO NOT OBSTRUCT" Fire and Life Safety Code 4306(1). 3. A - secondary exit - shall be provided out of the retail sales area. The distance between exits shall be not less than one-half the length of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the room measured in a straight line between exits.
