RE: Substandard Building at 4139 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Mr. Lake:
I'm writing with regard to an October 29, 1980 letter to you from this office
relative to Housing and other Code violations at the structure located at the
above referenced address (copy attached). That letter asked for the correc-
tion of specific violations by November 27, 1980 in order to avoid having the
structure posted as a substandard building with occupancy not permitted. Those
violations were not corrected and the house was posted on December 9, 1980.
The house is currently vacant.
Because of the potentially hazardous conditions created by these uncorrected
violations, the house must be repaired or demolished. Repairs, as listed on
the attached October 29, 1980 letter, or demolition of the structure must be
completed by 30 days from the date of this letter (February 12, 1981). Permits
for repair or demolition must be obtained before work starts and required in-
~spections must be conducted by this office.
