Hooten: At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made an occupancy inspection on December 19, 1979 at 4090 Main Street eScotts Trad- ing Post), Springfield, Oregon. The establishment of a second business in this building necessitated this inspection, The present use of the building is a retail store which is a B-2 occupancy, The proposed use of the hardware store in the other half of the building is also a B-2 occupancy. The building is located in Fire Zone 3. For the building to conform to the applicable codes, the follOl;ing items must be repaired, replaced or installed: 1) The pressure relief valve on the saterheater in the bathroom is to be piped to within 8 inches of the floor. 2) There shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door. The floor or landing shall not be more than 1 inch lower than the threshold of the doorway, Where doors open over landings, the landing shall have a length of not less than 5 feet. ' . 3) An electrical permit is required for all electrical work. The electrical work is to be done by a licensed electrical contractor and inspected and approved by the City of Springfield's electrical inspectors. All applicable permits. must be obtained before work starts and all work must be inspected and approved before a Certificate of Compliance will.be issued, Please direct all inquiries to the Springfield Building Division at 726-3753.
