RE: proposed adult care conversion of existing residence

Dear Beverly,
Yesterday I was contacted by Dick Evenson, Deputy Fire Marshal, with regard to your
proposed conversion of your house at 4808 Main Street to an Elderly Care Facility for up ,to
five people. I spoke with Cindie Mott, City Planner, to verify the zoning and if this would be
an allowable use per the City Development Code. I was informed that the property is zoned
Community Commercial, and that the proposed Elderly Care is not an allowed use in that
zoning district. I wanted to make you aware of this so you would not waste time or effort
pursuing a use we could not approve.
If you have any further questions regarding land use regulations, and what options might be
available to you, please contact the City Planning Division at 726-3753, or come into our
office and ask to speak with the planner on duty. If you wish to contact Cindie Mott, her
number is 726-3659, and she answers planning related questions from 1 to 4 PM daily.
