Home My WebLink AboutComments Miscellaneous 2/9/2009 February 9, 2009 Mr. Andy Limbird City of Springfield Planning Services Department 225 Fifth Street Springfield, OR 97477 RE: Site Modification Major # DRC2009-00003 Wildish/OR Military 3 I 00 Pierce Parkway, Lane County Armed Forces Reserve Center We received copies of the application and plans to add a 12,300 sq ft, two-story addition, at the north end of the existing BLM warehouse, and to add a radio tower and a radio equipment building. In.section 90 of the written explanation of proposal, the applicant states that the Oregon Military Department is revising and updating the previously approved DWP, and that it will be submitted and approved prior to occupancy. SUB Drinking Water Protection staff are in agreement with this process. Occupancy is contingent on having an approved DWP submittal and passing inspection with each responsible tenant and Oregon Military Department. There is no mention of auxiliary power supply generation for the radio equipment. If none is planned then no additional action is required. Ifauxiliary generation is planned, there are special considerations for the equipment and fuel storage. A final DWP inspection has not been made at the existing Forest Service and BLM buildings. Please make arrangements to schedule this inspection prior to occupancy. It is also time to schedule an annual inspection of the existing Reserve Center Complex and we would like to do these at the same time. We can cover the items required for the new addition at the same time. We will anticipate receiving the updated DWP application for review and approval in the near future.
