In response to the Applicant's questions: . II

1. Yes, there are access issues on this portion of highway which will requir1r an approach road
application through the District 5 Office in Springfield. Contact Lynn De~ering at 541-726-
2577. Widening on the highway may be required depending upon the type:~ number of traffic
using the driveway(s) and the impacts to the highway from the developme~t. A traffic study
'will be required to determine the impacts the proposal may have on the hi~hway and any
mitigation requirements (left-turn refuge, right-turn deceleration lane, etc.). A scope of the

study will be provided by ODOT after a fully completed approach applicati,on package has been
submitted to the District 5 Office. . . Ii

3. Any utility work within ODOTright of way will require a miscellaneous ~ermit application
thru the District 5 Office. Although there is no application fee, all costs::associated with the
utility work will be borne by the Developer. Contact Lynn Detering at 541fl'726-2577 for

ODOT at the DIM. Please provide me a response to each question associated with your

discipline no later than Monday, June 22 and I will email ODOT's comments to Andy Limbird -
Cit Planner the same day. However, if you prefer attending the DIM meeting on Thursday, June
25,2009, let me know by the 2?nd & I will inform the City that you will be in attendance.
FYI... I have vacation approved from June 24 thru July 6 (already posted:.on my calendar), but
may have to pick up a family member at the airport on the 23rd. I' II pro~ide more details at
this Thursday's Monthly Permit Meeting.
