Developers PO Box 4 Eugene, OR 97401 Dear Property Owner(s): The property located at 5705 Main Street or more particularly described as Lane County Assessor's Map #17023341, Tax Lots #3200 and #3300 is in violation of Section 5-1-1 (3)(a) and (d) of the Springfield City Code and, ' the Building Safety Codes relative to dangerous buildings. An accumulation of organic debris and used materials iJ present at this location. In addition, an abandoned mobile home which has been fire damaged remains at this site, despite a recent compliance letter from this office to Thomas Large regarding correction of this problem. (Please refer to the attached June 5, 1985 letter. ) While we realize a property owner is rarely responsible for creating potential public safety hazards which may occur on vacant lots; nevertheless, the owner is ultimately responsible for correcting any violations. Therefore, the organic debris and miscellaneous used materials must be removed from the property by ten (10) days' from the date of this letter (September 6, 1985). Because,it aprears that it is not the intent of Mr. Large to repair the mobile home in correlation with our attached letter, the mobile home must also :be removed:from the property 'by thirty (30) days from the date of this let~er' (September 28, 1985). The City very much appreciates your anticipated courtesy and cooperationw If you have any questions regarding this letter, the 'violation or the required corrections, please contact the Springfield Planning and ,Development Depart- ment (726-3759). Because of the gravity of the problem and the potential public,safety/health 'hazard involved, it is important that 'you adhere to these time frames. In the event that your corrective action is not completed within the time specified, this matter will be referred to the City Attorney's Office for further action' consistent with the Springfield Code and/or Ordinances.
