they can be approved:
THE APPLICATION ADDRESSES EXCAVATION ONLY, BUT THE GRADING PLAN
SHOWS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FILL INTENDED TO BRING THE GRADE UP
TO LEVELS INTENDED FOR STRUCTURES AND PAVING. IF YOUR INTENT IS TO
GAIN APPROVAL FOR THE FILL AS WELL AS THE EXCAVATION, THE FOLLOWING
ITEMS APPLY:
1.
According to estimates by the City Engineering Division, the
actual quantity of fill required will be approximately 2300
cubic yards. The permit fee is derived from the from the
greatest quantity of either excavation or fill. Please

To complete the excavation permit we need to know what firm is
providing that service, who the project supervisor is, and
~~e~~v~~~~~l will be taken.
To complete the fill permit we need to know the source of the
fill material, supplier, and actual specification of intended
fill. The excavation and grading section of Sheet SP1 states,
"All imported materials shall be clean earth (no expansive
clays) or crushed rock." Please clarify exactly what will be
!d for fill.
~~.
ubmit copies of inspection and testing reports to this
office, verifying that the fill is in compliance with
compaction requirements of 95% maximum density inside
buildings and under footings, and 90% elsewhere per AASHTO-T-
