At the request of the Springfield 'Fire Department, we recently conducted an
inspection of your property located at 5272 Main Street #3; Springfield, Oregon.
,This inspection revealed that excessive heat from the wall heater is causing
damage to the wall and creating a potential hazard.

,As you address this hazardous condition, please consider the following. The
Springfield Housing Code specifies that every dwelling unit and guest room
shall be provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature
of 68oF. Oregon State law specifies that all electrical work done on property that
:is for sale, rent, or lease, must be done by a properly licensed electrical contractor.
" Please be advised that a permit is required for the repair work, and may be obtained
from the Public Works Department.
We will check back with you within the next thirty days to see how you are progressing.
If you complete corrections earlier, or if you have any questions, please feel free to
,call us at the Springfield Building Safety Division at 726-3753. Thank you in advance
