Dear Mrs. Robbins
Your property at 5240 Main Street, Springfield,Oregon, was inspected on
August 20, 1986 at the request of the tenant Terri Beardsley, the resident of
apartment unit A. It is the dty's standard prac:tice to inform property owners
of the violations found and request that they be corrected within a reasonable
time limit as prescribed by the City Housing Code.
PLUMBING
1. The Bathtub waste and overflow is broken and/or missing
permitting bath water to drain under structure creating a poten tial
health hazard.
2. Two wash machine drain hoses from other units in the building
discharge their water on the ground in back of the structure
creating a potential health ha7.ar,j.
MECHANICAL
3. The vent fol' the gas spac:e heater in the living room is installed too
close to combustible material creating a potential fire hazard.
4. The space heater shall be secured t.o t.he floor t.o prevent. movement
which can cause damage t.o the flexible gas connector.
ELECTRICAL
5. The light. fixt.ure above t.ho kitchen sink is faulty and when turned on,
shocks the person operating the fixture switch.
6. Eler:tric baseboard he"lcrs are presently not in working condition.
Habitable rooms must have healing facilities installed and maintained
in a safe condition that are capahle of providing u room t.emperature
of 70 degrees F.
