ORDINANCE NO. 5786 (GENERAL)
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SEWER AND DRAINAGE CHARGES INCLUDING
RATES AND AMENDING SECTION 3-3-3 OF THE SPRINGFIELD CODE 1965 AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 3-3-3, Subsection (2)(c)i of the Springfield Code 1965 is amended as
follows:
I. Beginning July 1, 1995 sanitary sewer charges shall be as follows:

Section 2: Section 3-3-3, Subsection (3)(b)i of the Springfield Code 1965 is amended as
follows:
i. Beginning July 1, 1995 monthly drainage user fees shall be
determined as follows:
a. All real property, with the exception of single family dwellings,
shall be charged $2.39 plus the product of the property area (in square feet), runoff
coefficient, and $0.000561 per square foot.
b. Single family dwellings shall each pay $4.23.

Section 3: It is hereby found and determined that the amendment of the
Springfield Code 1965 Concerning sewer and drainage charges including rates is a matter
affecting the public health, safety, and welfare, and that an emergency therefore exists, and
that this ordinance shall therefore take effect on July 1, 1995.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this ~ day
