ORDINANCE NO. 5773 (GENERAL)
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO SANITATION, GARBAGE COLLECTION
RATES, COUNTY USER FEES, AMENDING SUBSECTION (2) OF
SECTION 4-2-5 OF ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER IV OF THE SPRINGFIELD CODE
1965, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1995, FOR THE
MAXIMUM RATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1: Subsection (2) of section 4-2-5 of the
Springfield Code 1965, be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(2) Maximum rates to be charged for the collection of
garbage and refuse for a month shall be as follows:
(SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND
INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE). ***"
Section 2: The maximum rate specified in section 1
includes all additional charges imposed upon the hauler by Lane
County for dumping through the effective date of this Ordinance in
conformance with Section 4-2-5(3) of the Springfield Code.
section 3: The effective date for the maximum rates
specified in section 1 shall be March 1, 1995.
section 4: It is hereby found and determined by the
Common Council of the city of springfield that matters pertaining
to the sanitation, garbage collection, rates to be charged
therefore, and recycling are matters affecting the public health
and safety of the City of Springfield and that an emergency
exists, and that this Ordinance shall therefore become effective
on March 1, 1995, upon its passage by the Council and approval by
the Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of springfield
this 21st day of February , 1995, by a vote of ~
