ORDINANCE NO. 5769
ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-9-2, ARTICLE IX "LIQUOR", CHAPTER V
"OFFENSES" OF THE SPRINGFIELD CODE PERTAINING TO THE SELLING OF
SPIRITS, WINES, BEERS, AND OTHER ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. section 5-9-2(1) of the Springfield Code is hereby
amended as follows:
"(1) No person shall sell spirits, wines, beer, and other
alcoholic liquors unless that person has a license from the
Oregon Liquor Control Commission."
SECTION 2. It is hereby found and determined by the Common
Council, that matters pertaining to the selling of spirits, wines,
beers, and other alcoholic liquors are matters affecting the
public health, safety and welfare, and that an emergency therefore
exists, and that this ordinance shall therefore take effect
immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by the'
Mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of springfield by a vote of
5 in favor and 0 against this 19th day of
December , 1994.
