No.: Weather: P0271-255-0809 Clear Field Observations and Comments Observed a proof roll at finished subgrade elevation for the proposed fire lane access road along the eastside of the new school building (see attached site plans). The proof roll was conducted using a loaded tandem axle dum'p .truck weighing approximately 50,000 Ibs. Minor deflections (pumping) were observed under the wheel loads and wheel tracking up, to 4 inches in depth occurred in two areas due to over optimum moisture soft soils, The two. areas measured 25'x20' and 40'x20'. The areas were marked with white paint and PSI recommended over excavating these two areas with 4 inches and replacing with additional crushed rock, Also, due to the minor deflections and over optimum soil a condition PSI also recommends placing geotextile on the entire subgrade (145'x20') prior to placing the base rock. (see attached site plan). The proof roll was conducted using a fully loaded tandem axled dump truck weighing approximately 50,000 pounds. No"deflections (pumping) were observed under the wheel loads and no wheel tracking (rutting) occurred, indicating a relatively' firm, stable subgrade at this time. Little to no defiection was observed indicating a relatively stable grade at this time: The material was drY and unyielding to proof roll. Therefore, no geotextile is recommended at this time. The proof roll was conducted on the south side of the new school using' a fully loaded tandem axle dump truck weighing. approximately 50,000 pounds (see attached site plan). No deflections (pumping) were observed under the wheel loads and no' wheel tracking (ruttin9) occurred indicating a relatively 'firm' stable subgrade at this time. PSI does not recommend the placement of geotextile fabric at this time. Note: recommended keeping all rubber tired equipment off subgrade until the full depth (12 inches) of crushed rock has been placed.
