The City of Springfield Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on September IS,
2007 to consider a zone change request for approximately 0.34 acre of land within the
Springfield City Limits. The applicant requests to chang~ the zoning from Low Density
Residential to Medium Density Residential. The proposed zone ,hange will make the zoning
map consistent with the Eugene-Springfield Metro Area General Plan [)i~gram Medium Density
.Residential designation and is not expected to be controversial. This application is a City-
sponsored zoning map amendment. The City sponsors such amendments for properties where
the existing zoning is inconsistent with" the Eugene-Springfield Metro Pian designati.on.
The attached documents include the zone change application and maps indicating the existing
and proposed zoning of the .subject property.
. The staff report will be sent to DLCD with th" Notice of Adoption.
