RE: Occupancy Inspection at 5925 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Mr. Naslund:
At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield conducted an Occupancy
Inspection of the structure located at the.above referenced address.
The proposed use of the existing dwelling unit will categorize that usage as a B-2 occu-
pancy. The following items shall be installed or repaired before a Certificate of Occu-
pancy will be issued;
Oregon StrUctural Specialty Code and Fire and Life Safety CS.S,C.)
1. Floors on each side of a door shall be the same height within 1 inch. S.S.C. 'Section
3303 (i)
2. The non-conforming stairs shall be barricaded so they can be used for storage access
only. S.S.C. Section 3305 (c)
3. The void between the public side walk and .the building porch must be filled with con-
crete to eliminate that hazard.

1. Not more than six disconnects permitted for each service. '.e.S.S.C. 230-71
2. Sub feeders must be protected by an over current device'. " E. S. S. C. 230-46
3. Mark service disconnects to indicate the load being served. E.S.S.C. 230-72
4. All wire splices must be in an approved junction box. E.S.S.C; 300-15
5. Grounding type outlets are required where within 5 feet of grounded equipment.

6. If you remove the w~r~ng from the water heater as you indicated, you will not have
to rewire it. E.S.S.C. 422-5
7. Remove all abandoned wiring as discussed with the Electrical Ins~ector.
8. Oregon Administrative Rules 22-110 requires that a licensed electrical contractor

shall perform all electrical work on properties that are for rent, sale, or
lease.
All necessary permits shall be obtained and required inspections conducted.
