Dear Mr. Large:
This will further supplement my letter to you dated February 18,
1982, regarding the installation of the readerboard on an existing
sign on property located at 5846 Main Street, Daren Engle Real
Estate, Springfield, Oregon.
Please be informed that this matter has been referred to the
City Prosecutor, Bruce Liebowitz, with the recommendation that
an action be instituted in the Hunicipal Court of the City of
Springfield to compel your compliance with the requirements of
the Springfield Sign Ordinance.
Please be informed that in the event that the Municipal Court
determines you to be in violation of the Springfield Sign Ordinance,
the penalties set forth in Section 1-12-7 of the Municipal Code
for the City of Springfield, are applicable. Thosepenalties
include a fine not exceeding $500.00, or imprisonment for a term
not exceeding 100 days, or both such fine arid imprisonment. That
section further provides that every day of violation constitutes
a separate offense.
