The city council reviewed the Annexation Agreement between the city and the property oy,oners outlining the . agreements between the two parties for the provision of urban services and financing responsibilities before supporting the annexation. City residents receive park and recreatioh services from the district. The district operates two aquatic centers, a community center, an adult activity center, and 31 parks containing a variety of outdoor recreationai amenities. The cJo,sest park to the site is Royal Delle, a 2.76-acre neighborhood park at 401 Blackstone' Street. Other nearby recreational opportunities indude harvest Landing and page Park. I' Schools, - Springfield School District' 19 serves this area. EXisting!: schools-:- Yolanda elementary, Briggs middle, and Springfield high-serve this neighborhood and can accomfuodate students resulting from new development occurring within the annexation area. ,. " . -" I. Wastewater - Springfield staff indieates a public wastewater system is currently under' construction and'incJudes, a new lift station located in the. annexation !iarea. Future site development will be served from this lift station upon acceptance by the city council (expected , by May 2008). As a part of the system construction, a 15-inch diameter wastewater main will be extended from the lift station to the existing westerly right-of-way of!' 19th Street.. The Annexation Agreement .requires the applicant to extend the 15-inch line along 19th Street and the Hayden Bridge Stub prior to the street construction.. The public system as ~nstructed will have sufficient capacity and sufficient depth to serve the annexation area. The applicant is required to construct a public gravity wastewater system to serve the annexation area, ai;:.needed, in addition to the 15-inch wastewater main described above.
