Subject: Parking on Undeveloped Land - Women's Clinic - Code Enforcement Case COD2009-00147 update
I spoke with Mr. Dunks, recipient ofthe Notice of Violation, He tells me that although it's confusing, the parking is
actually occurring on prope'rty owned by Women's Care. He said they actually cross over his property (without his
permission) to access the area where they park but that he just hasn't made an issue of it. He said he went over to the
, . ,
clinic this morning and spoke with someone at their office to let them know of the problem and that they are now aware
of the issue as well. He said he was told the person he needed to provide the information to was out but that they
would pass his information along. I told Mr. Dunks I would relook at the area and thanked him for giving me some visual
guidelines to figure out where the property is the violation is occurring on. I told him not to worry about the deadlines
of the letter and that I would be back in touch with him next week.
While I was at the'counter discussing this with Mr. Dunks, Evelyn of the Women's Care Clinic called and left me a voice
mail message. She said she was unaware they couldn't use their own land for parking. I explained that I had been given
information from Planning staff that as part ofthe lot line adjustment application that added vacated ROW to their site,-
the clinic was informed in writing that development approval would be required for any driveway access/parking lot.
She said she didn't know about that but asked me to prepare the correspondence to Women's Care PC, Attention: Dr.
Frederick Green and they would look it over. I said I would get that prepared and sent out.
I'm still confused looking at the maps vs. what's on the ground but Mr. Dunks and Evelyn (didn't give me a last name)
seemed confident that they know what's going on, so that works for me@
New Notice of Violation will be prepared and sent on Monday, 2/23/09.
