DRC2008-00064 Dutch Bros Coffee Shop @ 42nd & Main

Ron,
Conditions 5, 6 & 7 of the Staff Report for this project (DRC2008-00064 Dutch Bros Coffee Shop @
42nd & Main) have not been met. As I mentioned on the phone, the main concern I have is that the
center lane coming from the south will back up into a bottle neck approximately 27 feet wide, leaving
no spare room for incorrect placement of vehicles. This is important, as even just 3 cars will likely
back up 75 feet from the window. '
For your convenience, I've attached a solution that would meet the intent of the conditions. Condition
#5 asks for shading to show the location of the service lanes AND show the lane widths, If you just
showed the striping from the bottle neck (between the hatched 8' handicap access parking stall and.
the island that has the curb to be removed) up to the coffee stop island along with arrows showing the
direction of vehicle travel, that would suffice,
Please resubmit Sheet A-1 with the appropriate changes, (I cannot make the adjustments on the
sheet, as I am not stamping it.) Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions,
Jon
