CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON
ORDINANCE NO. 5738
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 2-1-1 PERTAINING
TO LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS, PROCEDURE FOR AUTHORIZING AND
MAKING IMPROVEMENTS, SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE CITY OF
(
SPRINGFIELD, LANE COUNTY, OREGON, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 2-1-1 of the Springfield Code is hereby amended as follows:
2-1-1 Specifications.
(1) The MB-3:- 1994 edition of the City of Springfield Standard
Construction Specifications as compiled by the City, is hereby adopted and shall
be the Standard Construction Specifications to be used in connection with all
public improvement contracts.
(2) The edition is, by the reference herein, incorporated into this
Article the same as if fully set forth herein. All public improvement contracts
hereafter executed shall contain a reference to said edition, and incorporate the
same into each such public improvement contract by reference.
(3) True and exact copies of the edition are on file in the offices
of the City Engineer, the Director of ?~Elic Works, the City Recorder, and the
City Manager at the City Hall. ",' '
(4) This section shall not be construed as limiting or preventing
the application of special conditions for such public improvement contracts as
may be required from time to time by the city in the event of special or unique
considerations involved in any particular contract.
Section 2: It is hereby found and determined that this matter affects the public
health, safety and welfare and that an emergency therefore exists and therefore
this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the Council and
approval by the Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 16th day
of May 1994 , by a vote of ~ for and ~ against~
