Springfield Fire Marshals Office has determined that the access and water supply is pre-existing and
meets the distance hose-lay standards in current code (scaled to approximately 315 feetfrom the
furthest point on the building away from the fire hydrant).
The fire and life safety issues due to the change of use and change of occupancy is being determined
at the building and fire plans review stage with permit COM2009-00218. The applicant will be
providing revised submittals at a later date to Chris Carpenter to address specific issues that were
raised.
