(Special)
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING SDC LIENS, REPEALING SECTION 3 AND 4 OF
ORDINANCE NUMBER 4624, RELEASING THE SDC LIENS PLACED ON THE
PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NUMBER 4624; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1: That the SDC liens placed by Ordinance Number 4624
were erroneous as the properties were annexed prior to January 1,
1982, per section 2-11-3 (2) of the Springfield City Code in
effect at the time of the annexation.
section 2: That Section 3 and Section 4 of Ordinance Number
4624 are hereby repealed.
Section 3: That the Common Council of the City of Springfield
hereby releases all SDC liens placed under Ordinance Number 4624.
section 4: That matters relating to the imposition and release
of SDC liens are matters affecting the public health, safety and
welfare, and that an emergency therefore exists, and that this
Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the
Council and approved by the Mayor;
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the city of Springfield by a vote
of 5 in favor and 0 against this 12th day of
July , 1993.
