RESOLUTION NO. 95-79
A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY AMENDMENT PROCESS
FOR CITY OWNED PROPERTY AT SPRINGFIELD SPORTS CENTER
WHEREAS, section 7.030 of the Springfield Development Code requires Type I Metro Plan
amendments affecting the Urban Growth Boundary be initiated by action of the City Council .
WHEREAS, The City desires to develop the City owned 38 acre tract of land at the north end
of Sports Way and currently outside the Urban Growth Boundary as a regional sports center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SPRINGFIELD; AS FOLLOWS:
Based on the above findings, which are adopted herein, the City Council hereby requests the
Lane County Board of County Commissioners to participate in a decision to include the above named
property within the Urban Growth Boundary. The City Council further requests the Eugene City
Council to determine within 45 days if they will or will not participate in the decision.
