CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO.
95-65
WHEREAS, by court order dated June 26, 1995, in Civil Case No. 16-95-02805, City of
Springfield vs. Thomas Opdyke, Lane County Circuit Court authorized the City of Springfield to cause the
abatement of the public nuisance.
WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has proceeded in accordance with Chapter V, Article 1 of the
Springfield Code in abating the public nuisance found to exist.
WHEREAS, the property on which nuisance violations were found to exist, and on which the
nuisances were abated may be more specifically described on the attached list marked "Exhibit A".
WHEREAS, the property owner has been notified in accordance with Chapter V Article 1, of the
Springfield Code concerning the proposed lien described on the attached list. '
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on September 5, 1995, giving
said property owner an opportunity to object to the proposed assessment lien.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Common Council of the City of Springfield to place a lien
on the property so described under the authority of Chapter V, Article 1, Section 5-1-5 of the Springfield
Code.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Finance Director of the City of Springfield be,
and is hereby directed to, add to the lien docket the proposed assessment lien which is unpaid by October
3, 1995 upon the property described on the attached list and which was the subject of nuisance abatement
for nuisance violations. }
Passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Springfield, Oregon this ~
