SPECIFIC VIOLATION:
Section 5-1-1 (3) (j) of the Springfield City Code
(copy attached). Inoperable vehicles are located in public
view.
REQUIRED CORRECTION:
In an effort to eliminate conditions which may adversely
affect community economic stability and to promote pleasant
neighborhoods; stored, damaged or inoperable vehicles must
either: be removed or screened from view by "...a structure
or enclosure of a permanent nature affixed to the ground"
(building or solid fence).
DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE:
Thirty (30) days from the date of this letter or
June 1, 1988.

Dear Resident:
The property listed on the attached form is in violation of a Springfield
City Code and/or Ordinance. Rather than issuing a citation or taking irrmediate
legal action, it is the City's standard practice to inform citizens of the
violation and request that it be corrected within a reasonable time.
The attached form specifies the violation, the corrections necessary in order
to comply with the applicable Code/Ordinance and the date by which your
corrective action must be completed.
In the event that you have not taken corrective action by the assigned time
deadline, the matter will be referred to the City Attorney's Office for further
action.
