Regular Council Meeting
MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL HELD
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1993
The City of Springfield Council met in Special Session in the Springfield City
Council Meeting Room, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, Oregon, on Tuesday,
October 4, 1993, at 12:08 p.m., with Mayor Morrisette presiding.
ATTENDANCE
Present were MayorcMorrisette and Councilors Burge, Beyer, Walters, Schanz, and
Maine. Councilor Shaver was absent (excused). Also present were City Manager
Michael Kelly, Assistant City Manager Gino Grimaldi, City Recorder Eileen
Stein, Finance Director Bob Duey and Administrative Aide Shari Higgins.
1. Approval for Sale of Limited Tax Obligation Improvement Bonds -
1994 Series.
RESOLUTION NO. 94-63 OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON AWARDING THE SALE
OF $265,000 OF LIMITED TAX OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BONDS, 1994 SERIES ONE
Finance Director Bob Duey explained the results of the bid opening for
Limited Tax Obligation Improvement Bonds, which was held at 10:00 a.m. He
further explained the bond sale process, interest rates and bid results.
He handed out a resolution for approval by the Council. Councilor Burge
asked if there were only two bidders, due to the low amount of the bond.
Mr. Duey replied yes, and explained why the amount was reduced from
$295,000 to $265,000.
IT WAS MOVED BY COUNCILOR BURGE, WITH A SECOND BY COUNCILOR MAINE TO
APPROVE THE SALE OF LIMITED TAX OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BONDS, 1994 SERIES,
AND APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 94-63. THE MOTION PASSED WITH A VOTE OF 5 FOR
AND 0 AGAINST. COUNCILOR SHAVER WAS ABSENT.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
