Springfield Council met in Continued Regular Session in the
City Council Chamber, 225 Fifth Street, Spring~ield, Oregon, on
10, 1993, at 9:45 p.m., with Mayor Morrisette presiding.

Present were Mayor Morrisette, Councilors Shaver, Walters,! Burge, Schanz and
Maine. Also present were City Manager Michael Kelly, Assistant City Manager
Gino Grimaldi, City Attorney Joe Leahy, City Recorder Eile~n Stein, and members
of the staff. .

BUSINESS FROM THE CITY COUNCIL
1. Committee Appointments. I

a. Appointment of Ward 1 Council Position and Swearing In.
I
Due to the resignation of Councilor Adams from th~ Council, interviews
were conducted this evening. It is necessary to select an appointee
to the Ward 1 Council position. i
IT WAS MOVED BY COUNCILOR BURGE, WITH A SECOND BylCOUNCILOR MAINE, TO
APPOINT ELIZABETH TERRY BEYER TO THE WARD 1 COUNCIL POSITION TO
COMPLETE THE TERM OF ROB ADAMS. THE MOTION PASSED WITH A VOTE OF
3 FOR (BURGE, MAINE AND SHAVER) AND 2 AGAINST (SCHANZ, WALTERS).
The oath of office will be administered to Ms. Be~er on May 17, 1993.
ADJOURNMENT
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:49 P.M.
