NARRATIVE
THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO MONUMENT THE PRQPERTY LINE ADJUSTMENT
THAT WAS GRAN1:ED PRlLII4INMfY APPROVAL FEjRlrJARY 12, 2009 BY 'fHE CI'f'r' OF SPRlNGFIELD
IN CASE NUMBER SU8 2009-00004.
THE CENTERLINE OF SOUTH 42ND ~//'(EIT WAS CAl:.CULATED BY RUNNING A LINE THROUGH
THE FOUND MAG NAILS (MONS "A" It "13") AS SIT IN CSF 40329 (REF 3).
THE MOST EASTERLY BQUNDARY OF THE LANDS SURVEYED HEREON, ALSO BEING THE
WESTERLY MARGIN OF SOUTH 42ND STREET, WAS CALCULATED BY OFFSETTING SAID
CENTERLINE 35.00 FEET AND 40.00 FEU WESTERLY, BY PERPENDlCULAR MfASUREMENT.
THE RIGHT-OF-WAY JOG WAS ESTABLISHED BY HOLDING THE FOUND MAG NAILS (WONS
"c" & "D,,) AS SIT IN REFERENCE 3. THE SOUTH BOVNDARY OF THE LANDS Sl1R,Vf'fED
HEREON WAS CALCULATED BY,HOLOING THE 5/8" REBNK WITH YPC (UON liE") FOUND AT
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER, AND SHOWN ON REFERENCES 1 de 2, AND THE FOUND 5/8"
REBAR WITH YPC (MON "F'? SET IN CSF 37770 (REF 1), 'fHEN EXTENDING TO THE EAST
BOUNDARY.
THE WEST BOUNDARY OF SAID LANDS WAS CALCULATED BY RUNNING A LINE PARALLEL TO
THE EAST BOUNDARY FROM MONUMENT "E" A DISTANCE OF 547.04 FEET AS SHOWN ON
REFERENCES 1 & 2. THE SOUTHERLY NQRTH LINE OF SAID LANDS WAS CALCULATED BY
HaLOING THE FOUND 5/8" REBAR WITH RPC (MON "G") AND RUNNING A LINE THROUGH,
1JfE FOUND 518~R[a4iR W1TH YPC (MON "H") SEI" IN REFERENCE 2 AND EXTENDJNG TO
THE EAST BOUNDARY.
THE REMAINDfR OF THE NORTH LINE WAS CAl:.CULATED BY HOLDING RECORD ANGLES AND
DISTANCES FROM THE ALREADY CALCULA1ED PORTION OF THE NORTH LINE AND MONUMENT
"G". THIS WAS INTERSECTED Wf'fH THE WEST BOUNDARY.
THE ADJUSTED LINES WERE LAID OU'f IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE APPROVED TENTATIVE
AND AS DIRECTED BY THE OWNERS, BEING MORfJ PARIICULARL Y CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS:
(A) A 40.00 FOOT OFFSET OF THAT PORTION OF THE NQRTH LINE THAT BEARS EAST,
255.51 FEET AND (B) A SOUTHERLY EXTENSION OF THAT PORTION OF THE NORTH LINE
THAT BEARS SOUTH 00.03'00" WEST, 150.00 FEIT.
