SPRINGFIELD, OR 97477
This facility consists of three combined rental units, Suites E, F and G
owned by Mr. Peter KryL The landlord has leased the three units to the Scoggins
Family llC for a period of three years with five potential extensions of that lease
totaling ten additional years.
Suite E was previously occupied by PayDay loan Company; Suite F was
operated by an audio shop and Suite G was a restoration and resale locale
selling reconditioned hot tubs. The audio shop has moved to another part of
town and the hot tub business moved across the parking lot to a different unit
That unit also houses a vehicle alternation shop. Both of these tenants operate a
normal work day and are open no later than 6 pm. Neither of these companies
will require customer parking after normal business hours. There is no other
business servicing the public in that building. The other units are private storage
for the landlord.
Midtown Mixed Martial Arts plans to offer classes to students of all ages.
At this time, the school plans to be open from noon until 9 pm. Due to school
and work schedules, it is anticipated that the largest number of students will be in
the early evening until closing. The curriculum will be determined by the interests
of those students. There appears to be universal interest in building and
maintaining healthy, strong bodies and considerable interest in martial arts
training. It is the intention of this facility to accommodate those needs. There are
several training centers in the Springfield area but none offering as complete a
program as Midtown. The facility has state-of-the-art Hoist and Precor
commercial equipment Also, the company has purchased a 24 square foot
octagon and a 20 square foot boxing ring. It is hoped the high cost of these
unique items will be rec'ouped by training individuals who cannot access such
equipment at any other local school.
The company has given consideration to offering the facility to regional
elementary and middle school teams for training. The time young athletes spend
improving strength and conditioning by working out is potentially of great value.
As the grandparents of a 13 year old basketball player, the owners look forward
to offering encouragement to and showing interest in .the next generation of
Millers and Colts.
This family owned and family operated business will be a first, class
operation in a clean facility. The fresh paint and attractive signage are a small
step toward our common goal of improving the appearance of Springfield's Main
Street businesses. We chose this location because we live in the City and have
. a vested interest in seeing it grow and modernize. .
