SVBJECT: 3995 Marcola Road, Occupancy Inspection
Dear. Mr. Haun,
At your request the Building Depa. ~,,=,t of the City of Springfield made an occupancy
inspection at 3995 Marcola Road ,on June 28, 1977.
.
Your request stated you want to convert an existing single family residence to a
residential treatJrent facility for six errotionally disturbed children.
The following items will be required to conform with .the Uniform Building Code:
1. ) Rerrove all BX wiring
2. ) Suggest new underground electric service
3.) Rewire building to conform with applicable codes
4. ) A full fire detection system shall be installed
5.) Building shall be insulated according to Section 3304 V.B.C.
6.) Ramps shall be installed according to Section 3305 V.B.C.
'7.) Handrails at all stairs to conform with Section 3305 V.R.C.
8.) Reconstruct stairs to basement to conform with Section 3305 V.B.C.
9.) Provide restroom facilities for handicapped
10.) Replace all rotted rim joist
11.) Repair leaks in roof
A complete set of plans shall be furnished to the Springfield Building Department
before a Building Permit will be issued.
