03-06-07 - Met on-site with Dave Spies (OIL) and 0 & S Contractors representative to observe
completed excavations for column footings on north side and north half of east side. Excavations
are founded in hard greenish-gray basalt rock with a clayey soil matrix at a project elevation of
:1:97,5'. Excavation bases appear firm and stable, at this time. 0 & S representative was advised to
de-water and clean loosened soil from base prior to placing concrete, Mr. Spies was asked to notify
our office when additional services are needed, (Weather: partly cloudy - 680).
03-08-07 - Observed completed excavations for column footings on south side of building area.
Excavations are founded in firm, greenish-gray basalt rock at a project elevation of :1:96,5', 0 & S
Contractors representative stated southwest footing area will be enlarged per EOR instructions prior
to re-forming and installation of reinforcing steel. Mr, Spies was asked to notify our office when
additional services are needed. (Weather: cloudy - 550).
