Eric,
The meeting invitations and packets for the Development Issues Meeting (DIM) were already sent out with the questions you
submitted on May 30, 2007 for application ZON2007 -00036. However, Staff will do our best to answer any additional
questions, including those in your 7/3 email (copied below) at the meeting. City transportation planning staff will be responding
to the issue raised in Question 3 of your emaii/ Question 2 of your May 30 DIM application. Please note that the meeting
invitation and packet were not sent to the railroad authority, as these parties are typicaliy not involved with the review of
annexation requests. You may wish to contact the railroad directly for information on their future plans or to answer questions
beyond the scope of the questions submitted on May 30.

Linda & Karen:
Per my phone conversation with you Karen,,1 appreciate your rescheduling our DIM meeting to the next available
date which didn't present a conflict with our owners schedule, the 6th of September from I :30-2:30. As we
discussed, we recognize that the subject matter of our questions is fairly broad, but there are several specifics that it
our hope that staff will be able to address for us.
I) Specific to our Sanitary Sewer question, John Tamulonis has indicated that staff will be providing us with options
that delineate both the timing for the implementations ofthese various options as well as their related costs.
2) Again, specific to Sanitary Sewer question, our owner has been told by Springfield city staff that the existing
septic system should be adequate for the proposed addition of one additional shower and one additional urinal from
the current fixture count. However, we believe that DEQ maybe in this loop as well. Will we be able to obtain
clarification whether a slight expansion of the existing system load will be acceptable while our owners presumably
are waiting for a final sanitary sewer solution to be brought on line.
3) Finally, specific to our Site Access question, our owner has been told by John Tamulonis that the railroad is
contemplating an expansion of their existing railJine located to the East.of our subject site. In that we also
understand that ODOT is in the mix with regard to railroad stuff, will these stakeholders be represented in the DIM
meeting, as well as bringing with them suggestions as to how public safety can be protected while still maintaining
. the Easterly entrance point to our subject site?
Again, thank you both for your attention to these matters. This office appreciates the difficulty of gathering all of
this disparate information in to one place. We look forward to our meeting, and should any of this present any
questions, please free to contact Kip Amends or myself with any questions that may arise between then and know.
Sincerely,
