Inspected fit-up and monitored amps, volts and travel speed during in-progress welding by two (2) certified welders using' E71T-1 electrode FCAW process. Work was completed on eleven (11) embeds per sketch submitted by Tony Dean (Wild ish) dated 02-25-09 for, th<:, BLM warehouse addition. Completed welds were checked for size, length, profile and location. Dave Church (Farwest Steel) was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed. To the best of our knowledge, the work checked Is in conformance with shop drawings dated 02-25-09 and applicable AWS D1.1 code, except if noted above. Weather: Overcast BP No.: Pending Continuous Inspection: 0 Periodic Inspection: 0 Performed inspection on the reinforcing steel for pad footings G4, G3, G2, F4, E4, D4, C4, A4, A3, A2 and elevator pit slab. Reinforcing steel was checked for grade, size, lap, placement and clearance. Anchor bolts for columns. were checked for size, embedment and were placed in templates. Note: contractor stated he had verbal approval not to run the three (3) #5 bars at the bottom of continuous footing thru pad footing. . .--- Observed the placement of 38 .yards of Knife River 4000 psi concrete (3000 psi required) (mix 40-1 K) for areas noted above. Concrete was placed by pump and mechanically consolidated. Cast one'(1) set of four (4) 4" x 8" concrete test cylinders. The on-site test results from load 3 are as follows: slump- 5 1/4"; air temperature- 55F; concrete temperature- 65F; air content- 4.3%.' Tony Dean (Wildish) was notified of our on-site test results and was asked to notify our office when additional serVices are needed. To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected was in accordance with plans dated 02-12-09, RS2 print dated 02-25-09 and applicable workmanship provisions of the I.B.C., except if noted above. .
