No.: Z4175LD Permit No.: C-8- 'SOl 6 Contractor: Chambers Construction Weather: Light Rain Type of Inspection: Masonry Field Observations and Comments Performed visual inspection of reinforcing steel at the following locations: cmu pilasters and fence columns on the south' and east sides of the building from 6' to 10'. Reinforcing steel was checked for grade, size, lap, placement and clearances where applicable. Reinforcing steel was placed in accordance with approved design drawings and specifications. All cells were relatively clean and mortar projections are within the limits of the International Building Code. Performed continuous inspection during placement of grout in the locations listed above. Grout was placed by pump and mechanically consolidated. All cells were grouted solid. Contractor was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed. To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected above was in accordance with the building department approved design, drawings, specifications and applicable workmanship provisions of the International Building Codes. CMU wainscoat south and east sides at building from F.2 to top of wall. Pilasters south and east sides of building from F.F to 6'. Reinforcing steel was checked for grade, size, lap, placement and clearances where applicable. Reinforcing steel was secured using tie wire. Reinforcing steel was placed in accordance witt' approved design drawings and specifications. All cells were relatively clean and mortar projections are within the limits of the International Building Code. Performed continuous inspection during placement of grout in the locations listed above. Grout was placed by pump and mechanically consolidated. All cells were grouted solid. Contractor was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed. Verified "snug-tight condition" for 5/8, 3/4, and 7/8 A325 high strength bolts for tube struts to columns. Verified minimum tension requirements for the fully pre-tensioned primary frame connections for 8/5", 3/4", and 7/8" A325 high strength bolts using contractors torque wrench (serial #1102100119) and previously determined torque values of 190 ft Ibs for 5/8" A325 bolts, 340 ft Ibs for 3/4" A325 bolts, 500 ft Ibs for 7/8x2'/. A325 bolts and 515 ft Ibs for 7/8x3" A325 bolts. Checked (2) bolts per connection or 10% of bolts In connection. All bolts checked this date will meet and/or exceed minimum tension requirements with exception to the following: there is a gap between faying surface on the northwest interior column to beam connection. The southwest interior column to beam connection, the southeast interior column to beam connection and the exterior southwest column to beam connection. Additional Comments: RFI to follow for engineering approval for dropping top horizontal rebar down (1) one coarse due to clearance issued with structural steel member located at top of pilasters. Last block will be placed and slugged with mortar. Contractor was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed.
