Code Analysis
Dear Mr. Pleger:
This is a recap of our meeting on Tuesday August 18, 1992.
The following is my understanding of City and code requirements
for our proposed renovation work. .
1. Parking requires locating (2) handicapped stalls near
the handicapped entrance with ramp. We will provide two
eight foot wide stalls with a common eight foot cross -
hatched access aisle between with an eight foot cross -
hatched aisle to existing sidewalk abutting ramp.
2. Foundation vents require a 1/'f" inch mesh vent screen.
We will provide same.
3. Widen handicapped entry doors providing close-to-doors
fitting panic hardware. Minimum open clearance is 32".
We will provide minimum of 32" width.

9. Gas HVAC units require two combustion air openings. 1
sq. in./1000 BTU.
10. Chapel occupant load exceeds fifty therefor requires a
group A 2.1 occupancy.
Check new code changes after January 1, 1993.

11. Verify smoke densities on finishes in chapel.

12. Cross aisle in chapel can be at south end of room. Two
exits provided. Aisle to taper to south cross aisle.
13. Provide lift at Rostrum for physically impaired.

15. Add exterior handrails at north exit.

Does the site require re-zoning?

Is flood control design required?
Do we have any potential problems with local codes?

all conflicts and interpretations as soon as possible.
